Tonight was fun

I really like this class. I'm honestly excited about it. I've never had a blog before. I got to "interview' Aurielle Weaver. We talked about a lot of different things from movies to t.v. shows and more. She asked me about the branch of service I was in and I told her I was in the Marine Corps infantry. She asked me if I went to Iraq and I told her that I had gone in the troop surge of 2007. Honestly, most of my posts will probably be war related. However, not all of them will be. I run a non-profit organization called Iraq/Afghanistan Troop Appreciation Day. You can check it out at iatad.weebly.com. Our goal is to reiterate the fact that we are still at war, (because the media has made people cold to the fact), but also to send care packages over to troops in a forward area. We had an event on July 21 that made a lot of money to send out those care packages. If anyone wants to donate, you are more than welcome.Anyways, I live in Ozark with my wife Ashley. We have a dog named Stuart. He's a miniature dachshund. He is stupid, but we love him regardless. So back to class... I like the whole open forum thing where we can just say what's on our minds about whatever we're talking about. I disagree with the burning of the Koran because it put people's lives in danger. However, I think that building a Mosque on Ground Zero, or 2 blocks from it, is a bad idea. It's the right of every Neo-Nazi group to build a center right in the middle of a Jewish community, or the right of every Japanese citizen to build a restaurant at the USS Arizona site in Hawaii. But why? To prove a point? I believe that we have to consider the fact that some things, though they are rights, are just ethically wrong. Okay. Enough of my rant unless someone else wants to talk about it. I changed the background on my blog. Will someone please give me HONEST feedback? It won't hurt my feelings. I want this to look as good as possible. I really don't know what I am doing and I need help.
